BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College men’s lacrosse team has been ranked 11th in the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III Preseason Poll.
The Polar Bears, who finished the 2016 season with a 12-5 record, advanced to the NESCAC semifinals last spring where they lost by a goal to Middlebury, 10-9 in overtime. Bowdoin ended the year ranked 16th in the USILA poll and are one of six NESCAC teams that appear in the top-20 this spring, including Tufts (2), Amherst (9), Middlebury (15), Bates (16) and Wesleyan (19).
Bowdoin will open its season with eight consecutive games away from home.
