ROCKPORT — The Morse High School girls freshman basketball team held a lead throughout and narrowly knocked off Camden Hills, 24-23 recently.

Following a slow first quarter with just five combined points, the Shipbuilders took 10-6 and 18-15 leads at the half and third-quarter breaks. Paige Faulkingham and Macey Coffin led the way for Morse, splitting 16 points down the middle. Abby Sreden notched five points, Kali Pierce two and Ali Donovan one.

The Shipbuilders hit 4-of- 26 free throws and Camden 5-of-16.
