LEWISTON — The Bates women’s track and field team won six events on Saturday in the Bates Invitational, the lone home meet of the indoor season, against competition including Division

I Maine and Bryant as well as Division III Husson, Keene State, St. Joseph’s and UMaine-Farmington.

Senior captain Allison Hill of Brunswick won the 60-meter hurdles in a season best 8.90 seconds. She also ran a career-best 8.08 time in the preliminary heats of the 60-meter dash, putting her third on Bates’ all-time performance list in the event.

Bates will next compete on Friday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University and Jan. 28 at the USM Invitational in Gorham, Maine.
