WESTON — Maine State Police say a tractor-trailer loaded with logs missed a turn in heavy fog, struck a utility pole and pulled electrical wires down in Weston.

A log truck following the first one also became tangled in the wires Thursday night on Route 1.

Police say 56-year-old Michael Steeves, of Weston, attempted to make a right turn and missed the road because of the fog.

Route 1 was shut down for over two hours while crews tried to free the trucks from the wires. It wasn’t immediately known if there were power outages.
