A Porter man was trapped in his pickup truck for an hour after the vehicle slid off the road and rolled over on black ice Friday morning.
Dwight Barron, 56, of Porter, lost control of his 2003 Ford pickup about 6 a.m. on Maple Street, also known as Route 25, in Cornish near the Parsonsfield town line.
Barron had been headed to work when he encountered black ice that caused him to lose control. His truck slid sideways and eventually rolled over onto its side, trapping Barron inside.
Barron was uninjured, but was trapped in the truck for over an hour while Cornish Fire and Rescue got him out.
Sheriff’s deputies closed the road while rescue crews removed Barron from the vehicle.
