It’s so funny how Americans take so much pride in being the most charitable people on earth but God forbid that, as public policy, we treat humanely those who have little.

How are you negatively affected by giving shelter and food to those less fortunate than you? Walk a day in the shoes of a refugee escaping tragedy, or a parent searching for a better life for their children. Every one of us would do the same for our families – don’t deny it.
