Sanford police said Friday they arrested a man wanted for more than 10 days since he sped away after a chase last week.

Tyler Cann, 25, of Sanford sped away from police in Waterboro on Dec. 5 and officers broke off the chase because it became dangerous, authorities said.

Friday night, Sanford police said they got a tip that Cann was driving a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer on High Street. Police stopped that car and found Cann in the passenger seat.

Cann was arrested on outstanding warrants charging him with eluding an officer and reckless conduct in the Dec. 5 incident.
