
She was born in Bayonne, N.J. on January 6,1928, the daughter of Charles and Frances Dowd.
Katherine worked at the woolen mill in Richmond and various shoe manufacturing facilities which included Etonic in Richmond and Eastland Shoe in Freeport.
She enjoyed crafts of all kinds including quilting, knitting and crocheting. She also was an avid bowler and a member of the senior citizens bowling league in Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles. Katherine is survived by her nine children and spouses, Linda, Joyce, Donald,
Charlene, Charles, Bruce, Keith, Darryl, Darrin and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and her sister Patricia Dowd.
Many thanks to the staff who cared for and loved her at the Alzheimers Care Center in Gardiner where she enjoyed spending many of her days.
Also much thanks to the staff at the Woodlands who cared for her in her final days.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday December 10th at 2:30 p.m. at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St, Richmond.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 35 High St after the service.
