SANFORD — Kevin Mannix and Linda Rota will discuss their book, Weathering Shame at Goodall Library in downtown Sanford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 Mannix is best known as a television weatherman. Linda Rota has been a social worker for more than 30 years. In 2013, an opportunity came up to develop a story on the subject of shame and stigma. After much collaboration, “Kevin’s Story” was born and aired on WCSH 6 and WLBZ 2. As a result, the two collaborated in sharing their stories in the book “Weathering Shame”.
