Young volunteers
Raymond Village Community Church sends out a big thank you to some young locals who helped pull and sort food for the Thanksgiving baskets, and another big thanks to the community for all the donations that were received. Andy Morrison and members of RVCC filled the baskets with fresh vegetables, stuffing, turkey, bread mixes and other holiday fixings. As always, the generosity of the Raymond community is bar none.
Gateway to Raymond wreaths
The Raymond Beautification Committee, in conjunction with the Raymond Revitalization Committee, is purchasing 70 wreaths for all the decorative light poles in the business corridor. Maine Lakes Wedding Event Florist is getting these for the town in bulk at cost ($20 each). The committee is looking for businesses and families to purchase or donate toward the cost of making Raymond beautiful this holiday season. To make a tax deductible donation, write a check to the town of Raymond and note that it is “For Beautification Committee.” Drop off or mail payments to the Town of Raymond, 401 Webbs Mills Road, Raymond, ME 04071. You can also visit www.raymondmaine.org to obtain an order form.
