ARUNDEL — A two-vehicle crash that delayed traffic for 90 minutes in Arundel on Tuesday has resulted in minor injuries for those involved.
Sheriff Bill King said in a release that the crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Alfred Road (Route 111) and Limerick Road.
According to King, Taylor Gorman, 22, of Dayton was attempting to turn west onto Alfred Road (Route 111) from Limerick Road when she drove into the path of a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck.
The truck, operated by Harvey Libby, 68, of Waterboro left the roadway and struck trees, causing Libby and his wife, Cynthia, 53, to become trapped, King said.
The couple was extricated from the vehicle, and Cynthia Libby was taken to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford by Goodwins Mills Rescue for minor injuries. Harvey Libby was not injured in the crash, King said.
Gorman was also taken to SMHC by Arundel Rescue, King said, for minor injuries.
