A New Hampshire man who allegedly beat his girlfriend before throwing her out of a moving vehicle Sunday night has been arrested by Nashua, New Hampshire, police, according to a Berwick Police Department Facebook post.
In addition to threatening to harm the 20-year-old woman, police said, Bo Rodden also threatened violence against her family and a Berwick police officer.
Police said Rodden texted the girl’s family, telling them he had a weapon.
During Monday’s search, Berwick police described Rodden, 25, as armed and dangerous. He was arrested Monday night without incident.
Berwick police Detective Ron Lund said police were notified around 6:30 p.m. Sunday that a woman had been assaulted in a domestic violence altercation.
“At one point she was begging him to bring her home. He punched her several times in the face and eventually pushed her out of the car,” said Lund. “She suffered multiple bruises and swelling to her face.”
Lund said Rodden, whose last known address is Main Street in Rindge, New Hampshire, persuaded his girlfriend to go for a ride.
Rodden then began to assault her inside the car, Lund said. At one point, while Rodden was turning the vehicle on Route 9 in Berwick, he pushed her out the passenger door, Lund said. She landed on her side.
The woman was transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, where she was treated and released.
Rodden is on federal probation for armed robbery, according to Lund.
Because of that, Berwick police called on the U.S. Marshals Service’s fugitive task forces to assist them in their search for Rodden.
