WELLS — York County Community College held its 12th Annual York County Business Awards Dinner (formerly the Entrepreneur Awards) on Nov. 10 at Duffy’s Tavern & Grill in Old Orchard Beach. The evening included a social hour, dinner, and an awards presentation, which recognized and honored York County Business. YCCC President, Dr. Barbara Finkelstein, welcomed those in attendance. Shawn Moody, president of Moody Collision Centers gave the keynote speech and Richard Stanley, president of the Sanford Chamber of Commerce served as master of ceremonies. The award winners are: Student Business of the Year, Got Baked Bakery in Sanford, Jessica Ricker, owner; Rookie Business of the Year, Mug Buddy Cookies in Biddeford, Margen Soliman president and owner; Small Business of the Year, ThinkTank Coworking in Biddeford, Patrick Roche, founder and director, and Heidi’s Heavenly Pot Pies in Sanford, Heidi Maurais, founder and CEO, Medium Business of the Year, Above & Beyond Catering in Sanford, Gina Sawtelle, owner; Large Business of the Year, Beachmere Inn in Ogunquit, Sarah Mace Diment, general manager; and 2016 Business of the Year, Kennebunk Beach Realty in Kennebunk, Gail Arnold, owner.
