A man was killed Saturday night in a single-car crash in Alfred.

Maine State Police said Joseph Barbarino, 31, of Alfred was driving on Mouse Lane when his car hit a ditch and overturned several times before coming to rest against a tree just before 10 p.m.

Police said Barbarino was thrown out of the car’s rear window, and that he was not wearing a seat belt.
