The search for a missing Medford woman, which involved about 100 civilians and game wardens on Sunday, did not turn up any clues as to her whereabouts.
Diana L. Estey, 71, was last seen on Monday, Oct. 31, according to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
A news release issued Sunday said “several different resources were used today during the search including K9 air-scent teams from the Maine Search and Rescue Dogs and the Maine Warden Service K9 team.” A team of five horses also participated in the search, covering 27 miles of riding trails.
“Local townspeople and Maine Game Wardens walked many miles of woods today,” the statement said. “The Maine Warden Service and family and friends of Diana would like to thank every one of the volunteers that came out to assist in looking for Diana.”
Estey is 5 foot 2 inches tall, weighs about 100 pounds and has gray hair and green eyes. She could be wearing a purple jacket.
Anyone with information about Estey is urged to call the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office at 564-3304.
