A Gorham man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident Wednesday in Westbrook, but few details are known about how the accident occurred.
According to a Westbrook police press release, 52-year-old George Goriss of Gorham crashed his 2013 Harley Davidson on Bradley Drive, and was found dead at the scene. Officers responded to the scene at about 7:20 p.m. but said there are no known witnesses to the accident.
“A passer-by discovered Mr. Goriss and his motorcycle. At this time, it is unknown exactly when the accident happened,” the release states.
An investigation led by a Westbrook crash deconstructionist and Portland Police Department evidence technicians is underway. According to police, “there is some evidence indicating the accident may be health related.”
Westbrook Police Department are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has related information call 854-2531.
