DARTMOUTH, Mass. — The University of Southern Maine men’s and women’s cross country teams had solid showings in the Little East Conference cross country championships on Saturday.
The men won their first LEC crown, placing five runners in the top 12.
Freshman Nick Harriman of Lisbon was the top Huskies runner, placing fifth in the 8K run in 25:42.78.
Harriman earned All-Little East honors by finishing among the top 10.
In the women’s race, USM captured second behind the efforts of senior Jasmine Boyle of Brunswick.
Boyle took second out of 85 competitors in the 6K race, completing the challenging course in 18:34.40. She earned All LEC honors.
Kelly Lynch of Mt. Ararat High School was 37th overall.
