LISBON — The Mountain Valley Conference has announced the fall awards for the 2016 season.

Chase Collier of Lisbon has been named the field hockey Player of the Year, along with garnering First Team recognition. Greyhounds Kate Philbrick and Bree Daigle are Second Team winners, while Morgan Fenderson and Mallory Fairbanks picked up Honorable Mention.

In boys soccer, Ryley Austin was selected to the First Team, along with Greyhound goaltender Jonah Sautter. Noah Austin picked up a Second Team nod. Wiscasset’s Ethan James, Russell Marr, Brandon Goud and Kevin Lynch received Second Team mention, while Josh Huston and Jacob Fusaro of Lisbon, and Aidan Carlson and Alex Strozier are Honorable Mentions.

Ali Sult of Lisbon made the First Team in girls soccer, along with Wiscasset striker Gabby Chapman. Sydney Douglass of Lisbon is on the Second Team, while Honorable Mentions went to Lisbon’s Emma Houle and Wiscasset’s Grace Webber and Maeve Blodgett.

In boys cross country, Wiscasset’s Goud received another award by making the First Team. Lisbon’s Mike Schlotterbeck (First Team), David Schlotterbeck (Second) and Kyle Laroche (Second) were also honored, along with Wiscasset’s Gage Varian (Honorable).

Several student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom. Wiscasset’s Jenna Bickford, Chapman, Carlson, Goud, Grant Hefler, Stephanie Jones, Colon Ranta, Nichole Thibeault, Brooke Wagstaff and Nate Woodman, and Lisbon’s Andrew Balser, Ryley Austin, Collier, Bree Daigle, Fusaro, Huston, Kaylin Le, Jasmin Le, Hannah Martel, Ciera Miller, Chris Normand, Kate Philbrick and Kipri Steele recognized.
