BOSTON — The Simmons College women’s cross country team finished second in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

The Sharks tied at 50 points with Norwich, with the Cadets winning in a tiebreaker.

Simmons freshman runner Amelia Franklin of Bath ran a personal-best in the 6K event, finishing in 23:43.

The Sharks will compete in the NCAA New England Regionals on Nov. 12 at Westfield, Mass.
