BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College women’s basketball team has been ranked 19th in the D3hoops.com Division III Preseason Poll.
The Polar Bears, who reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament last season, finished with an overall record of 22- 7. They are one of three NESCAC teams in the poll, as Tufts and Amherst enter the 2016-17 campaign as the top two teams in Division III.
Bowdoin will open its 2017 campaign with the Maine Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 18- 19. The Polar Bears will host Central Maine Community College in an exhibition contest on the 18th at 7 p.m., before traveling to Lewiston to play Norwich at Bates College on the 17th at 12 p.m.
