Halloween happenings
There are some fun things going on around town to do with the kids this Halloween. Naples Main Street and the Casco-Naples After Care Program will host a Kids Halloween Party this Friday, Oct. 28, from 3-5 p.m. at the Singer Center, located on the Village Green in Naples. The party is free to all Naples and Casco kids 12 years old and under. Pumpkins and paint will be provided for kids to participate in the Pumpkin Painting Contest. Prizes will be awarded. Each child will then take their creation and begin the “Pumpkin March” to the Village Green gazebo for a photo opportunity. Then they can take their pumpkins home.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, attend the Halloween Costume Brunch from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Naples Public Library. (Wear your costume an extra day!) Fun food, crafts and activities will be available for all: silliness for kids, brain health awareness for adults. Potluck if you wish.
Then head over to Lake Region High School Trunk or Treat Event, which runs from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday. Normally held on Halloween, Trunk or Treat has been redesigned this year with a different date and added activities, sketches and more. And, of course, there will be candy. The event is free to all and sounds like a fun afternoon.
On Halloween, the Casco-Naples Recreation Department is putting on its annual Halloween Party from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Casco Community Center. The party includes games, a magic show, haunted house, treats and more.
