KENNEBUNK — On Oct. 27, Community Harvest, a nonprofit organization serving Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Arundel, will host its annual Savory & Sweet Soiree at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport. The Savory & Sweet Soiree is a benefit auction that helps raise funds to support year-round Community Harvest programs that assist residents in the tri-town area.
The auction kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with chances to bid on various auction items donated by local businesses. Guests will get a chance to bid on items such as a gift certificate from the Hurricane Restaurant, a Sea Bag from Daytrip Society, art from Love Rocks Maine, a bird bath from Marlows and a rug from Dock Square Emporium to name a few. Tickets may be purchased for $20 in advance by calling 967-1911 or for $25 at the door.
Eva Barnfather, Community Harvest’s Savory & Sweet Soiree chairperson, is ready to deliver over 20 pies for this sweet event. “We’ll have all the favorites – strawberry rhubarb, lemon-meringue, blueberry and chocolate cream. And for those of you who are looking for seasonal pies we’ll have apple and pumpkin pie,” said Barnfather.
