BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School “A” field hockey team had a busy week recently, earning three straight wins.

In a 4-0 win over Bath, Abbie Belanger had two goals, with Lauren Jacobs and Emma Land adding a goal each. Jacobs also picked up an assist. Hannah Wentworth had three saves for the shutout.

Next came a 3-1 victory over Auburn, with Betsy Orlando scoring 35 seconds into the game for the Huskies. Jacobs and Lind added a goal each, while links Gia Guernelli, Jacobs and Kelsey Sullivan kept feeding the offensive line throughout the game.

When Auburn did get into the offensive circle, the defensive play of Emily Factor, Natalie Ney, Madeleine Hladky, Maddie Small and Daphne Dumont helped keep the ball from Wentworth, who had four saves.

The solid week came to a successful close with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Oxford Hills. Abbie Belanger scored the lone goal, with solid play coming from Kara Moxie of Oxford Hills, who had 16 saves.
