NEW GLOUCESTER — The University of Southern Maine women’s cross country team finished fourth among nine schools at the State of Maine Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Pineland Farms.

Former Brunswick High School standout Jasmine Boyle was the top Huskies finisher, crossing in seventh place in 19:05.2.

USM had 94 points, with host Bates winning the team title with 29 points.

Southern Maine returns to action on Oct. at the Little East Conference Championships, hosted by the University of Massachusetts- Dartmouth.

Boyle was recognized by the LEC as the conference’s Runner of the Week. It is the second consecutive week that Boyle was recognized.
