Sky is a four-month-old blue tiger and beige female kitten that just came into Another Chance Animal Rescue from the Sanford area as a stray. Sky is a little shy on the first meet, but warms up very quickly to a gentle stroke and a soft voice. She is spayed and all necessary vaccinations will be completed to ready her for a loving family.

Sky will be seeking a family or a single person that will allow her an indoor-only lifestyle so she can enjoy a long and healthy life.

Sky will do well with other house cats, non-aggressive dogs, respectful older children and all adult members of the family.

Adoption hours are every Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon to 5 p.m. at the adoption center/foster home of Marilyn Harley, 251 Route 4, Sanford.

To feed cats in their care, ACAR needs cat food. ACAR is spending a fortune on canned cat/kitten food, dry kitten/cat food and litter just to meet its day-to-day basic needs. Food donations may be dropped off at Another Chance Thrift Shop on 37 Market St., North Berwick, or 251 Country Club Road, Sanford .

The rescue thrift store is open Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to noon.

All thrift store profits benefit the animals. Donations of items to the thrift store are welcome.

To assist the rescue’s mission of providing a safe environment and quality care for abandoned, abused and lost pets, you can become a Support for Life member by pledging $10 a month. The monthly donations help ACAR meet ongoing expenses and continue its work as a true “no kill” organization.
