SCARBOROUGH — Gaby Panagakos scored two goals and added an assist to lead Scarborough to a 3-1 win over Thornton Academy in a Class A South girls’ soccer match Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, Lauren Sabatino put the Red Storm (8-1-2) ahead with a shot from 25 yards out that was assisted by Panagakos.

Panagakos extended the lead to 2-0 off an assist from Leah Dickman and closed out the scoring with a shot from 20 yards.

Thornton (5-6) cut the deficit to 2-1 midway through the second half on a goal by Alyanna Beaudoin.

Emily Royce made seven saves for Scarborough. Abbi Cook stopped 12 shots for the Trojans.

WINDHAM 1, SANFORD 0: Meghan Hoffses broke a scoreless tie in the 56th minute off a feed from Alanna Joyce, and the Eagles (8-0-3) beat the Spartans (7-3-1) in Windham.

Kaitlin Roberts made 15 saves for Windham, while Nikita Perez stopped 12 shots for Sanford.

DEERING 6, MASSABESIC 1: Meghana Clere scored three goals to lead the Rams (5-6) over the Mustangs (2-9) in Portland.

Candy Odhiambo added a pair of goals, and Mia Sargent also scored for Deering.

Skylar Renaud tallied the lone goal for Massabesic.

FALMOUTH 2, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Amelia Waite scored her second goal of the game with 40 seconds remaining, lifting the Yachtsmen (7-4) to a win at Cape Elizabeth (5-5-1).

Waite recorded the only goal in the first half.

Falmouth keeper Adelaide Cooke stopped a penalty kick by Mariah Deschino early in the second half, but the Capers tied it midway through the half when Karli Chapin converted a corner kick by Riley Dall.

Waite’s winning goal was assisted by Madison Wolf.

SACOPEE VALLEY 0, FREEPORT 0: Madison Day made seven saves for Sacopee Valley (9-0-2) and Jordan Randall stopped shots for Freeport (6-4-2) as the teams battled to a draw in Freeport.

RICHMOND 11, VINALHAVEN 1: Meranda Martin scored four goals to lead the Bobcats (9-1) to a win in Richmond.

Caitlin Kendrick and Destiny Anair each added two goals, and Emily Snowden, Cassidy Harriman and Kamryn Hurley also scored.

Dreyenne Osgood got the lone goal for Vinalhaven.

WATERVILLE 7, BELFAST 0: Sophie Webb had three goals and two assists to lift the Purple Panthers (12-0) to a win over the Lions (0-11) in Waterville.

Anika Elias added two goals and two assists. Mackenzie St. Pierre and Jordan Jabar each had a goal and an assist.

Shera Hilt made 12 saves for Belfast.

FIELD HOCKEY

KENNEBUNK 6, LAKE REGION 0: Britney Gregoire scored three goals as the Rams (11-3) cruised to a win over the Lakers (0-13-1) in Kennebunk.

Lindsey Gregoire added a goal and two assists, and Lauren Richelieu and Christine Jarowicz also scored.

SCARBOROUGH 4, SANFORD 0: Lily Nygren one-timed a shot from traffic in front of the cage for the first of her two goals as the Red Storm (10-2) defeated the Spartans (2-11) in Scarborough.

Nygren got the only goal of the first half, then scored again with 18:30 remaining. Kristen Levesque followed with a goal eight minutes later before Cara Reynolds completed the scoring off an assist from Carrie Timpson.

Sam Carriero made two saves for the Red Storm. Amber Singleton stopped 18 shots for the Spartans.

MARSHWOOD 4, WINDHAM 0: Leah Glidden scored a pair of goals as the Hawks (11-2) beat the Eagles (5-7-1) in Windham.

Celine Lawrence and Madison Gilbert each added a goal, and Grace Verrill recorded an assist. Shannon Giblin made three saves for the shutout.

FREEPORT 3, GREELY 2: Kerry Lefebvre scored a pair of goals during a 2-minute stretch early in the second half to give the Falcons (6-7-1) the lead for good against the Rangers (5-8) at Cumberland.

Maya Bradbury opened the scoring for the Falcons 7:45 into the game with an assist from Lefebvre.

Greely tied it with 6:37 left in the first half on a goal by Wren Payne, assisted by Ella Novick.

Lefebvre put Freeport ahead again 8:11 into the second half and added the eventual winner just over two minutes later.

Maddy Perfetti closed out the scoring for the Rangers with 1:30 remaining.

Megan Seymour made five saves for the Falcons. Kylie Rogers stopped five shots for Greely.

WINTHROP 2, DIRIGO 0: Breonna Feeney and Moriah Hajduk scored to lead the Ramblers (10-2-1) to a win over the Cougars (7-6) in Dixfield.

Emily Molino and Sarah Spar each recorded an assist, and Corinna Colton made nine saves to earn the shutout.

Morgan Moreau had eight saves for Dirigo.

LAWRENCE 4, WATERVILLE 0: Maci Larouche scored two goals to pace the Bulldogs (9-4) to a win at Waterville (2-10-1).

Lexi Lewis and Nora Buck each added a goal, and Marian Zawistowski made two saves for Lawrence.

Coby Dangler stopped five shots for Waterville.

WINDHAM 3, CHEVERUS 0: Jamie Jannarone had seven aces and six kills as the Eagles (5-7) swept the Stags (7-5) in Portland.

Danielle Hall contributed four aces and two digs, while Megan Fleck had 17 assists and 13 digs for Windham, which won 25-19, 25-18, 25-18.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, NOBLE 0: Bella Robinson scored a pair of second-half goals as the Trojans (10-2-1) cruised past the Knights (1-11) at Saco.

BONNY EAGLE 4, DEERING 0: Mia Alexander scored twice for the Scots (3-10), who got all of their goals in the second half to beat Deering (1-12) at Standish.

Alexander opened the scoring 6:18 into the second half from Catherine Biegel.
