MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 36, DEXTER 2: The Huskies (6-0) returned two punts for touchdowns and set up another score by recovering on onside kick as they knocked off the previously undefeated Tigers (5-1) in Dexter.
MCI held Dexter to minus-29 yards rushing in the first half but led only 8-2, as two fumbles on offense and a mishandled punt snap slowed the Huskies.
Two big plays on special teams helped MCI break the game open in the second half. Pedro Matos returned a punt 42 yards for a touchdown, and then a successful onside kick set up a 14-yard touchdown run by Josh Buker.
