WELLS — The grand opening of the Seacoast Republican headquarters at 1614 Post Road, Wells, took place on Sept. 18.
The facility is a central location where voters can obtain information and campaign materials such as yard signs and bumper stickers for all York County Republican candidates. The headquarters has information about candidates for county offices, Maine state Senate and House, U.S. Congress, and president, as well as extensive information on the five citizen initiatives that will be on the Maine ballot this year. It also has internet access and telephones available for use by candidates and their volunteers.
Among those attending the opening were candidates from many of the seacoast towns, including chairmen of local Republican town committees, and state Sen. Ron Collins and state Rep. Bob Foley.
The headquarters will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. through Nov. 8 and can be contacted by phone at 468-2395 or email at nford.wellsgop@gmail.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
