CONCORD, N.H. — Gas prices are on the rise again in northern New England.

GasBuddy shows that the average retail price went up 3.1 cents per gallon in Vermont to $2.25 a gallon. It went up nearly 2 cents in New Hampshire to $2.13, and 1.7 cents in Maine to $2.23.

The national average of $2.22 has increased 1.5 cents in the last week. It stands 7.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
