
She was born in Daigle on May 29, 1931, a daughter of Alcide and Emma (Daigle) Daigle. She was a graduate of Fort Kent High School.
Rita was employed as a nurse’s aide for Webber Hospital, and also worked in food service for the Biddeford school system.
Mrs. Courtois was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 47 years, Ralph G. Courtois, on Oct. 5, 2009; and four brothers, Rosaire, Claude, Clarence and Armand.
She is survived by: one brother, Normand Daigle of Daigle; one sister, Delia LeSieur of Saco; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
