Like many voters I have found that the almost year-and-a-half of political advertising and news has about reached the point of total inundation. The receding of the flood of election information is in sight. I am anxious to get to the business of voting for our preferred candidates and referendum issues. If you don’t think you will be able to get to the polls on Tuesday, Nov., 8, please call your town office and have an absentee ballot sent to you [Raymond 655-4742, press 124, or Windham 892-1900] or you can go to the state of Maine website (www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl) and order an absentee ballot. All ballots must be received back to the towns no later than 8 p.m. on Nov.  8 either by USPS mail or in person.

If you have not registered to vote in your town of residence it’s not too late. Voter registration will continue from now through Election Day.
