A malfunctioning traffic signal on Skyway Drive caused traffic delays on the Maine Turnpike in Portland Monday morning.

Drivers traveling southbound on the turnpike encountered delays on the exit ramp at Exit 46, according to the Maine Turnpike Authority. Turnpike officials say an equipment malfunction at the traffic signal caused the lights to cycle incorrectly.

Turnpike officials said the issue was resolved by around 8:30 a.m.
