Gorham police are warning motorists to avoid using a heavily traveled section of town this week while construction crews conduct overnight road repairs.

Sgt. Michael Nault said in a new release that construction was set to begin Sunday evening and is scheduled to end Friday morning.

Nault said the construction work will take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily on Main Street (Route 25) and on South Street (Route 114) in Gorham.

“This is normally a high traffic area. Due to this construction, additional delays should be expected. Please seek alternate routes of travel,” Nault said.
