Prior to the game, the Wells team and community honored the nation’s military past and present with an emotional ceremony.
Members of the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club led the team out of a camouflage helmet and on to the field. From there, each Warrior was escorted by a serviceman or woman on to the field as their names where announced, as well as the names of the military personnel and their accomplishments while serving.
Members of the Warriors were excited to honor the nation’s military while also playing the game they loved.

Wells’ blowout win over Freeport improved its record to 2- 0 so far this season. After a heartbreaking loss in the Class C South semifinals to Yarmouth last season, the Warriors hope to continue their success and avenge last year’s disappointment.
“They’re hungry, they want it … they definitely want it,” said Roche. “There’s no question in my mind how much they want it, you can see that they got in the weight-room this offseason and they got at it and they did the right thing. We just have to put it together.”
