CONCORD, N.H. – Gas prices have stayed about the same in northern New England.

GasBuddy shows that prices have stayed flat in Maine and Vermont. In Maine, the average retail price is $2.23 a gallon, and in Vermont, it’s $2.24 a gallon.

The average price per gallon in New Hampshire has gone done less than a penny, to $2.13.

The national average of $2.19 has gone down nearly 3 cents per gallon in the last week. It stands 21 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
