SOUTH PORTLAND — The city will offer municipal bus service on Sundays, starting  Sept. 11.

The service currently runs Monday-Friday from 5:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m. The Sunday service will operate two routes on the same schedule as the Saturday service, between Ferry Village and downtown Portland, Mill Creek and the Maine Mall. 

A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. on Sept. 11 at the Mill Creek Transit Center. Bus schedules can be found online at southportland.org, or by calling 767-5556.
