I enthusiastically support and will be voting in November for Martha “Molly” MacAuslan, the Independent candidate, to represent Maine Senate District 29. I have had the pleasure of knowing Molly for 15-plus years both personally and professionally. Words that best describe her are honest, bright, trustworthy, financially pragmatic, hopeful, kind, respected, reliable, thoughtful, enthusiastic and most of all, fair.
In these times of seeming endless political unrest, we want someone who is willing to listen closely to the issues and concerns of everyone, not just to those who share a particular set of ideas; someone who is willing to work the hours to be an effective non-partisan voice for her constituents; someone who understands that pragmatism and fairness can and should require appropriate compromise to achieve effective results for the good of all people.
As a member and chair of the Cape Elizabeth Town Council, Molly has a proven record of responding to the needs of her constituents. Over many years, as a volunteer in numerous civic and charitable organizations, Molly has continued to demonstrate her commitment to improving the lives of everyone in our communities.
We need a senator whose strongest allegiance is to the good of the people she has and will continue to tirelessly and effectively represent. That is why I will be supporting and voting for Molly MacAuslan for Senate District 29 in November. I encourage all District 29 constituents to join me.
