HARPSWELL — The Board of Selectmen appointed Alison Hawkes to the School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors at a meeting on Aug. 18.

Hawkes, a former selectman, was tapped to serve after her predecessor, Sara Clemens, resigned before her term was up. Hawkes’ appointment will last through June 2017.

The only other candidate for the position was Harpswell parent Elizabeth Davis; she and Hawkes were interviewed by the Board of Selectmen on Aug. 17, the night prior to the decision.
