The Inn by the Sea has appointed Andrew Chadwick as the new executive chef at Sea Glass, the hotel’s restaurant. As part of his duties, Chadwick will develop and execute menus for the restaurant, as well as oversee all aspects of the resort’s dining options including lounge, room and pool service, weddings, social events and corporate meetings.

Chadwick joins Inn by the Sea after a stint as the executive sous chef at the Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.

“Chef Chadwick brings both talent and experience to our culinary team,” said Michael Briggs, the general manager at Inn by the Sea. “Having spent many years working together at Chatham Bars Inn I know the chef’s creative style and focus on fresh seasonal and regional fare will bring Sea Glass menus to life.”

Chadwick previously was the executive chef at the Cherrystones Restaurant in Falmouth, Mass., and later opened a sister restaurant, Oysters Too.

In addition, the wine cellar at the Sea Glass, which includes more than 300 labels, has also been named to Wine Spectator’s 2016 Best of Award of Excellence list

“I look forward to working with Maine producers and growers who highlight my passion for New England flavors, to craft a unique, high-quality regional food and beverage experience for our guests,” Chadwick said.

He attended the International Institute of Culinary Arts, where he worked under certified master chefs George Karousos and Christian Schunmann.
