On a recent Sunday the Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding Center held its 13th annual Barn to Beach Ride-a-thon at the Breakwater Farm in Cape Elizabeth. The event started with an hour-long ride on the trails, moved onto the beach for a dip and finished with lunch, which featured gourmet salads for the riders and hay, apples and carrots for the horses. More than $13,000 was raised this year. The event was hosted by Jeanette and Mark Hagen of Cape Elizabeth, longtime supporters of Riding to the Top in Windham.
