YORK — York Hospital will host a Lunch & Learn on Robotic Assisted Partial Knee Replacements and Sports Medicine with Dr. Tyler Welch, orthopaedic surgeon with Atlantic Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine from noon to 1p.m. Aug. 17.
The program will be held at the York Public Library in the Community Room, 15 Long Sands Road. Welch will be covering the topic “Robotic Assisted Partial Knee Replacements at York Hospital and Treatment for Joint Pain.” The lecture followed by Q&A.

Welch received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Boston University Medical Center and his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and holds additional certifications from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Athroscopy Association of North America and the American Medical Association. Welch practices at Atlantic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and York and Wells. His specialties include hip disorders, sports medicine, cartilage injuries, ligament and tendon injuries as well as arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee and elbow, open shoulder surgery, reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder and fractures.
