On Wednesday, officers from Biddeford Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit, Patrol Division, and U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force located and arrested 42-year-old Peter D’Amelio.
D’Amelio had active warrants stemming from three charges of domestic violence: reckless conduct with a firearm, assault and terrorizing, according to a press release from the Biddeford Police Department. Bail was preset on the warrant at $75,000.

His brother, Mark D’Amelio, 35, was also present and arrested at that time, according to police.
The two were arrested by Biddeford undercover officers at Automile Motors in Saco as they were getting ready to purchase three used cars with cash, according to Biddeford Police Chief Roger Beaupre.
A search warrant was then obtained for 168 South St., where Krista Leopold, 34, was found to be in possession of nearly 3 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin, according to police. Also found was marijuana, evidence of trafficking and more than $21,000 cash, police said.
