IPSWICH, Mass. — With great joy, Katherine Beck Whittemore and her husband James M. Whittemore of Harpswell and Bath announce the marriage of their daughter, Caitlin Alberta Erhard, to Raleigh Cubbison Finlayson.

Erhard, 33, is also a daughter of Lincoln and Kerrin Erhard of Boothbay. She is the granddaughter of the late Mike and Sally Erhard of Castine, the late James W. and Barbara Wilson Beck of Bath, and great-granddaughter of the late Alberta Wight Wilson and Harry M. Wilson, and Gene and Scottie Beck of Bath.

The ceremony was held on June 11, 2016, at Turner Hill Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts, officiated by Margaret O’Neal of Norwalk, Connecticut. The bride was attended by sister-in-law Jaimie Hyde Erhard, matron of honor, and bridesmaids Jennifer Leibersberger, cousin; Carol Girata, sister-in-law; Angela Falco; and junior bridesmaids Alexandra and Samantha Rono. The groom was attended by cousin Grant Leibersberger, best man, and groomsmen Douglas Finlayson, brother; Beck Erhard, brother-in-law; Sam Whittemore, brother-in-law, and Tom Hart. Designated charmer for the evening was Henry Walter Whittemore, nephew, attended by Tim Whittemore, his dad.

Caitlin is a 2002 graduate of Brunswick High School and received a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing as a Dorothea Lynde Dix Scholar from Simmons College in Boston. She currently works as a trauma nurse in the emergency department at Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital in Boston.

Finlayson, 37, is the son of the late John L. and Carrie S. Finlayson of Greenwich, Connecticut. After graduating from Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee; a master’s in political philosophy from Boston College; and a professional certificate from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. Finlayson currently serves as a lecturer in writing in the College of Arts & Sciences at Boston University.

After honeymooning in Napa Valley, the couple makes their home in Belmont, Massachusetts, along with their dogs, Molly and Sasha.
