BOWDOIN — Dr. David Millay and Ruth Connors Millay, of Blanchard Cross Road in Bowdoin, recently observed their 50th wedding anniversary.

While both are retired, Ruth’s occupation was as a nurse, while David was a doctor.

Their children include: Stephanie Dustin of Bowdoin (spouse, Rick); Dr. Scot Millay of Westfield, Massachusetts (spouse, Julia), and Sheila Millay of Bowdoin (spouse, Brenden Smith).

The couple have nine grandchildren.

A celebration with friends and family was held on July 2 at Bowdoinham Town Hall. The hosts were Stephanie Dustin, Scot Millay, Sheila Millay, Cathy Curtis and Chris Moulton.

The celebration actually involved two couples celebrating their anniversary, the Millays and Robert and Nancy Curtis. David and Nancy are brother and sister, and all four of them grew up together in Bowdoinham.
