Traffic was delayed at mile 45 of Maine Turnpike on Friday night after a car fire closed all northbound lanes and partially shut down southbound traffic as well.

At 7:50 p.m., the Maine Turnpike Authority reported that all lanes had reopened, but delays continued. The fire was reported just before 7 p.m. on the northbound side of the turnpike at mile 45. All northbound lanes were closed for about 15 minutes, while firefighters worked on the scene.

There was no information about the cause of the fire or any injuries.
