It’s heartening to know that our governor listens to people about things that could possibly affect our health and well-being. It would be more reassuring if the list went beyond Ralph Stevens, the retired mechanic who earned an executive order from Gov. LePage to study ethanol as a driver of the opioid crisis.

The prospect of LePage putting support and not vetoes toward the thousands of scientists around the world regarding climate change and health care issues, who have ready evidence and actionable solutions, remains but a dream.
