YORK — The York County Retired Educators Association Travel Committee has planned a trip to experience the beauty of the Gardens in Boothbay on July 26.
The bus will leave Jackson’s Hardware in Kittery at 8:30 a.m., stop at the Meadowbrook Plaza in York at 8:50 a.m., at Wells Transportation Center at 9:10 a.m. and the Wal-Mart parking lot in Biddeford at 9:30 a.m. Lunch may be purchased at the Botanical Gardens cafeteria, or people can bring lunch to eat on the grounds. To view the cafeteria menu, visit ycrea.org. The bus is expected to return to Kittery at about 6 p.m.
Cost of the trip is $55 per person and includes transportation, admission to the gardens, and tip for the driver.
There will be wheelchairs and walkers available on site at no charge. Motorized scooters can be rented for a two-hour period for the cost of $16. Availability is limited.
