BRUNSWICK/TOPSHAM A safety inspection on the Frank J. Wood Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham is scheduled for Thursday, June 16th beginning at 8:30 a.m.
During that time, northbound motorists on Route 201 and Route 24 will be detoured to Route 1 east to Route 196. Southbound traffic will be allowed on the bridge. Traffic will be reopened to both lanes upon completion of the inspection that evening.
This routine inspection of the Frank J. Wood Bridge, spanning the Androscoggin River, is part of a bi-annual bridge safety inspection on truss style bridges throughout the state.
