How many more people have to be shot to death before our elected officials – both state and national – have the guts to do what the majority of people want them to do: namely, pass legislation requiring background checks on all transfers and sales of guns?

It’s time they stopped bowing, kneeling and genuflecting before the National Rifle Association.
