BALTIMORE — Chris Davis homered, Hyun Soo Kim and Mark Trumbo had three hits apiece, and the Baltimore Orioles rallied to beat the New York Yankees 6-5 on Friday night.

After the Yankees used three home runs to build a 5-2 lead, Baltimore turned it around against Nathan Eovaldi and the New York bullpen. The Orioles scored three runs in the sixth inning to pull even, then used two singles and a run-scoring groundout by Manny Machado to go ahead in the seventh.

Mychal Givens (5-0) pitched 11/3 innings of relief and Zach Britton worked the ninth for his 16th save.

Carlos Beltran, Alex Rodriguez and Austin Romine homered for the Yankees, who have lost seven of 10.

INDIANS 6, ROYALS 1: Danny Salazar allowed one run and struck out nine in eight innings, and Cleveland won at home.

Yan Gomes homered in the second and Tyler Naquin hit his first major league homer in the seventh for the Indians.

TIGERS 10, WHITE SOX 3: James McCann had three hits, including a triple and a homer for host Detroit.

The Tigers lost Miguel Cabrera in the seventh inning to lower-back tightness. The team listed him as day to day.

Jordan Zimmermann (8-2), returning from a groin strain, allowed two runs in 52/3 innings.

RANGERS 7, MARINERS 3: Adrian Beltre homered, doubled and drove in five runs, leading Yu Darvish and the host Rangers over Seattle in a matchup of AL West leaders.

Darvish (2-0) gave up three runs and six hits in 52/3 innings.

RAYS 4, TWINS 2: Brad Miller hit a tiebreaking single in the eighth, Evan Longoria homered for the second time in as many games, and Tampa Bay ended a five-game losing streak with a win at Minneapolis.

ASTROS 12, ATHLETICS 2: Evan Gattis tied a career-high with four hits, including a homer, and had four RBI as Houston jumped on Oakland starter Jesse Hahn for seven runs in the first inning and cruised past the visiting Athletics.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

CUBS 6, DIAMONDBACKS 0: John Lackey struck out nine and scattered five hits while pitching into the seventh, and host Chicago pulled away late for its ninth win in 10 games.

Anthony Rizzo drove in the game’s first run with a two-out double in the sixth. The Cubs then scored five two-out runs in the eighth.

METS 6, MARLINS 2: Noah Syndergaard gave up a homer to Marcell Ozuna on a 100-mph fastball but struck out nine in seven innings to help New York win at Miami.

James Loney, acquired last week in a trade with San Diego, broke a 2-all tie in the seventh with a two-run homer.

GIANTS 5, CARDINALS 1: Johnny Cueto worked around a season-worst five walks to post his ninth win, tying for the major league lead, as San Francisco won at St. Louis.

Cueto (9-1) allowed a run on four hits in six innings with one strikeout.

REDS 7, NATIONALS 2: Eugenio Suarez got his third homer in two games with the help of a replay overturn, and host Cincinnati spoiled former manager Dusty Baker’s homecoming by overpowering his Nationals.

PHILLIES 6, BREWERS 3: Cameron Rupp homered and doubled, Andres Blanco also went deep and host Philadelphia snapped its season-worst seven-game losing streak.

INTERLEAGUE

ANGELS 9, PIRATES 2: Jered Weaver allowed two runs in six innings, Kole Calhoun homered and Los Angeles won at Pittsburgh.

Weaver (5-4) allowed six hits, struck out five and walked one.
